Come and learn about being a premed at MIT! Meet AMSA members and advisors from the MIT Prehealth Advising Office! Ask about courses, volunteering/shadowing programs, summer internships, etc.

Talk to Dr. Thomas Byrne about medical school and application processes. He is the Clinical Professor of Neurology and Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General Hospital) and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Having been on admissions committees, Dr. Byrne will provide tips and invaluable advice on how to have an edge when applying to medical school.

AstraZeneca's Hope Lodge provides temporary housing for cancer patients who come to Boston for treatment. Come volunteer by baking delicious treats for the residents.

Dr. Philip Amrein is an oncologist at MGH who specializes in treating leukemia. Come to this informal discussion to talk with Dr. Amrein about his current work at MGH, his career path, his medical school experience, and much more!

Taking the MCAT soon? Come to an MCAT information session presented by Mcatalyst Prep! David Miranda, an Mcatalyst Prep representative who is currently at Harvard Medical School, will provide information about the MCAT, the AMCAS application, and how the Mcatalyst Prep program can help you. If you are currently studying for the MCAT or thinking about taking it soon, this is a great opportunity to learn more about how to prepare for the MCAT!

Dr. David Fisher, MD, PhD, is currently a dermatologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Fisher also has a lab at MGH which studies the cell death and proliferation signals in the development of melanoma. If you are interested in seeing patients, working in a clinical research lab at a hospital, or both, come to this informal discussion with Dr. Fisher!

Dr. Bailin is an MIT premed advisor and an all-around interesting person. He speaks for AMSA about once a year, and the event always garners very positive reviews, so you don't want to miss it.

On this particular day (Sunday, April 29), if you mention AMSA then Zinga will donate 15% to the Boston Children's Hospital.
